Thank You!
Over 1200 visitors and £6390 raised
Open Gardens Day in Histon and Impington on June 14th 2009 resulted in cheques for £2,130 for the three charities - Histon Feast, Emmaus UK and Voluntary Service Overseas. Committee members Judy Wilson and Inger Eade visited Emmaus UK, who are based in Cambridge, on 1st September 2009 to present the cheque to Terry Waite, President of Emmaus UK.

The total sum - £6390 - is an even better result than the day in 2007 when just over £5,000 was raised. It wouldn't have been possible without the generous help - money, time, loan of equipment, compost and pots - from so many individuals and organisations, and of course, the 14 garden owners who opened their gardens. Many thanks to everyone who helped.
If you have some nice photos from the day please do email them in to photos@opengardens.org so we can add to our photo gallery.
