The first Open Gardens Day in Histon and Impington was in 2007 and raised over £5000 which was split between the three charities - Histon Feast, Emmaus UK and Voluntary Service Overseas. Over 1000 people visited the gardens.
Open Gardens Day in Histon and Impington was in 2009 was attended by over 1200 people and raised an incredible £6390 which was split between the same three charites.
It is hoped to have another Open Gardens Day in 2011 with the date being announced during 2010.
Committee members Judy Wilson and Inger Eade visited Emmaus UK, who are based in Cambridge, on 1st September 2009 to present the cheque to Terry Waite, President of Emmaus UK.
